Michelle Torres, Esq.
Immigration Attorney
Michelle Torres is an immigration attorney at The Arroyo Law Firm, where she is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the United States immigration system with clarity, commitment, and empathy. Her practice is guided by a deep understanding of the personal and legal challenges immigrants face in pursuit of the American dream. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Michelle became the first attorney in her family, motivated from an early age by a strong desire to serve and help others. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor concentration in Political Science. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. During the early years of her career, Michelle represented hundreds of clients as a criminal defense attorney, handling cases involving drug charges, weapons offenses, domestic violence, assault, DUI, and other criminal matters. She was also part of an association that represented police officers in criminal, administrative, and family law matters. One of her greatest professional accomplishments has been representing clients before the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, achieving favorable outcomes in complex cases. In addition, Michelle served as a Civil Procedure professor at Ana G. Méndez University, further strengthening her foundation in legal analysis and advocacy. Following the devastating impact of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico in 2017, Michelle and her husband relocated to Massachusetts. It was there that she discovered her true passion for immigration law. Since then, she has dedicated her practice to guiding clients through complex immigration processes, approaching every case with sensitivity, dedication, and deep respect for the life experiences of those she represents. Outside of her legal practice, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, kayaking, paddleboarding, cycling, and running. She is an avid runner and regularly participates in 10K races, half marathons, and marathons. Michelle is fully bilingual in Spanish and English and is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association.
