Vanessa Rivera is originally from the Northeast and is the first-generation daughter of a Puerto Rican mother and an Ecuadorian father. From an early age, she developed a strong interest in immigration after hearing her father’s stories about growing up in Ecuador and the challenges he faced migrating to the United States to build a new life. At 18, Vanessa began working at an immigration office as a receptionist, an opportunity that introduced her to the field that would become her professional passion. Since then, she has had the privilege of working alongside experienced attorneys while continuing to grow her knowledge and experience in immigration law. Vanessa is deeply committed to helping families navigate the immigration process and finds great fulfillment in advocating for their rights. Her long-term goal is to complete her studies and become an attorney so she can continue serving and supporting her community. Outside of work, Vanessa is a proud mother who enjoys spending time with her family and pets, visiting theme parks, reading, and caring for her plants.
