Joshua Brown is a legal assistant with a wide range of experiences and credentials. He holds an M.A. in philosophy from Brandeis University and a B.A. in Humanities from Rollins College. In 2019, he was an Alain Locke Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and in 2022, he was named a semi-finalist for a Fulbright Graduate Degree Grant to the United Kingdom.

Joshua is passionate about the legal profession, and hopes to become an attorney himself. He has extensive experience in competitive debate, and as captain of the Rollins College Debate Team, he won tournaments at the regional, national, and international level. In addition, he served as a teaching assistant in Philosophy of Law during his studies at Brandeis.

Before joining The Arroyo Law Firm, Joshua served as a clerical assistant for the Office of the Federal Public Defender in the Middle District of Florida. During his tenure there, he worked in the Capital Habeas Unit to provide electronic litigation support, manage records, and assist in the investigative process. This experience solidified Joshua’s commitment to vigorous criminal defense practice and introduced him to complex litigation in the Florida Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

In his spare time, Joshua enjoys mentoring and tutoring local high school and college students. He is also a fan of classical music, attending events at the Bach Festival Society and the Dr. Phillips Center when he can.
